I meet up with one of my oldest granddaughters at least once a month. One of our favorite Mexican foods is at El Tejaban Mexican Grill. It is located in the heart of Richfield, Minnesota.

You will also see Lito’s Burritos along with the name El Tejaban Mexican Grill. One side of the menu has El Tejaban Mexican Grill, and the other side has Lito’s Burritos. Both sides of the menu have awesome food. Just pick what mood you are in for that day. This is real Mexican food, real and fresh.

El Tejaban Mexican Grill is the best I have eaten in. Upbeat and friendly staff and you can hear laughter and fun at each table/booth the wait staff is at. Also, the place to take a date and sit in a little hideaway or large groups. Generous servings of mouthwatering food. I loved everything I ate.

I love the art deco of Latina culture. It looks small on the outside, but it is big, clean, and a breath of fresh air with the ample seating area. I also hear some staff speaking Spanish, I myself speak very little Spanish so I don’t attempt it. I also don’t assume that everyone there speaks Spanish just because you are at a Mexican restaurant.

The gifts of Mitzi Beliveau I always loved to write, but my English was not that good. I spoke some French with my English, and I was also speaking Latin. I was teased at elementary school when I first attended both by the students and the teacher. Yes, I was shamed by the teachers because of my French accent. In first grade, the teachers placed me in speech therapy, and then I was taught proper English. I then forgot my French language. I only spoke English from then on. Now I wish I still knew the French and Latin words. I then had scarlet fever in the latter part of the first grade when I was learning English. This disease caused the hearing problems I had lifelong. Learning was difficult, and English was difficult, So I turned to write, it was an outlet for my feelings. I now write to learn the language and become better at it. I believe if there is something is difficult, I should practice it daily. So I write about my life, the people I meet and my love of music. I hope you enjoy what I write and excuse little mistakes I make from time to time in writing in English. After all, I believe my mind is still in French and Latin! My first two languages.
